Keigo is introduced through a flashback, having been a good friend of Shin's in their youth. They were both young actors and Keigo was able to keep Shin from getting too serious over his role and keep his spirits up, until one day when Keigo saw the role of a life time. According to Shin he entirely changed, even though he didn't act like it. He threw everything he had into the audition, but after finding out Shin got the role, the Director explained that Keigo had reached his limits, while Shin had a lot to be desired and room for growth. Shocked by this, Keigo ran off and left, never to see Shin again and unaware of the effect it would have on him.
